After staying silent for a long time, Sheinelle Jones has finally revealed why she is no longer appearing on TODAY: “I found out how they take bribes, so…”

Sheinelle Jones had an emotional and exciting moment on Today as she made a major announcement that had her heart racing.

The beloved morning show host shared the news live on Thursday’s episode, revealing that her debut book is now available for pre-order.

A Special Project Close to Her Heart

During the show, Craig Melvin teased the big reveal, jokingly telling viewers, “Sheinelle made a huge announcement this morning.

No, no, no, it isn’t a fourth child, but kind of,” as Sheinelle and co-host Dylan Dreyer laughed along.

The segment then cut to an image of Sheinelle’s book cover, unveiling the title: Through Mom’s Eyes:

Simple Wisdom From Mothers Who Raised Extraordinary Humans. The book, set to release in April 2025, features valuable life lessons from the mothers of famous personalities, including Lady Gaga and Steph Curry.

Craig continued to celebrate the moment, saying, “She’s given birth to a book! Here’s a first look at the front cover,” before warmly congratulating his colleague.

An Emotional Milestone for Sheinelle

As she soaked in the excitement, Sheinelle admitted how much the moment meant to her. “I wish you could feel my heart, it’s pounding,” she said. “I’ve been working on this for a really long time, and the women in this book are lovely!”

Her co-hosts were quick to show their support. Dylan beamed as she told Sheinelle, “I’m so happy for you!” while Craig praised the book’s concept as “genius.”

Following the on-air announcement, Sheinelle took to Instagram to share more details about her book. In a heartfelt post, she wrote:

“‘Through Mom’s Eyes: Simple Wisdom From Mothers Who Raised Extraordinary Humans’ is a collection of heartfelt life lessons from hardworking moms who raised some of our favorite celebrities.”

She continued, “I had the privilege of interviewing dozens of remarkable women, including the mothers of Lin-Manuel Miranda, Lady Gaga, and Steph Curry. I even took their advice home and tried it out with my own family. My author debut will be available in April 2025. Link in bio to pre-order!”

A Career Filled with Impactful Work

Sheinelle’s latest project is just one of many milestones she has achieved in recent years. As a key figure on the Today Show, she has built a reputation for her insightful interviews, engaging storytelling, and warm on-screen presence.

Beyond her role on Today, Sheinelle has taken on numerous meaningful projects. In 2022, she served as an executive producer for the documentary Stories We Tell: The Infertility Secret, which shed light on the struggles many women face when trying to conceive. The film sparked an important conversation about infertility and resonated deeply with many viewers.

Speaking about the project at the time, Sheinelle told HELLO!, “I wanted to make sure infertility wasn’t a subject people shy away from. I was more than happy to be the face of the women who want to build a bridge to our sisters who are struggling.”

She continued, “To this day, I still receive messages from people sharing their stories, and I get requests to speak on different platforms about this topic. There’s a strong and resilient community out there—one that has often felt unseen. After the documentary aired, I think they felt validated and heard. I’m so proud we did it, and I know the conversation will continue.”

A Passionate Advocate and Dedicated Mom

Sheinelle’s commitment to storytelling and amplifying important conversations extends beyond her professional career. As a mother of three, she draws inspiration from her own experiences as a parent. She and her husband, Uche Ojeh, share three children: Kayin, Uche, and Clara.

Her latest book reflects that personal connection to motherhood, as she explores the wisdom passed down from influential moms. By sharing their experiences and advice, Sheinelle hopes to inspire and uplift parents everywhere.
