Sheinelle Jones from TODAY is under fire for being perceived as “conceited” after insisting on certain conditions from the show’s producers for her comeback.

Viewers of *The Today Show* are growing increasingly concerned about the prolonged absence of co-anchor Sheinelle Jones,

who has been missing from the program for several weeks.

Fans have taken to social media to express their worries, with many speculating about the reasons behind her disappearance.

Sheinelle, 46, has been a familiar face on *Today’s 3rd Hour* for the past six years, but it has been weeks since she last appeared on air.

Her absence was especially noticeable on January 10, when *Today* celebrated Hoda Kotb’s final day on the show.

Despite being a key member of the team, Sheinelle was not present to mark this special occasion,

and she was also missing from any of the pre-recorded farewell messages from her colleagues, including Craig Melvin, Savannah Guthrie, and Al Roker.

Naturally, her fans have voiced their concerns, flooding social media with questions about her whereabouts. One Instagram user commented on Sheinelle’s last post, which was shared on December 16, asking, “Where are you, my dear? We’re missing you on the Today show.” Other fans expressed concern that Sheinelle’s absence could be related to contract negotiations, with one person writing, “If your disappearance is related to contract negotiations, I pray they don’t shortchange you like they did Tamron Hall!” Hall, a former *Today* co-host, famously left the show after a controversial contract dispute in 2017.

Many fans voiced a deep connection to Sheinelle and her absence has left them feeling unsettled. One comment read, “They will lose me and many others as viewers if you leave. To *Today* Show management, your history in compensating African American women is lacking. Please don’t make another mistake.” Another follower shared, “Your fans are missing you. I hope all is well and we will see you next week back on *Today*. You are very loved by viewers.”

Sheinelle’s absence was particularly notable for fans who had been following the farewell celebrations for Hoda Kotb. Kotb, another beloved anchor, wrapped up her tenure on the program on January 10, but Sheinelle was absent from the on-air events. One viewer pointed out, “She wasn’t there for Hoda’s last day either. I hate that. I love Sheinelle.” Another person added, “I thought the same thing! Not even a pre-recorded message to Hoda. I notice she hasn’t posted anything on here in almost a month as well.”

The anchor has also been quiet on social media, with her last Instagram post dated December 16, 2024. In the post, Sheinelle shared a touching photo of herself and her son, Kayin, 15, standing alongside President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden. In the emotional caption, Sheinelle reflected on a special moment during the event when President Biden offered heartfelt advice to her son. “I got emotional as the president kindly complimented his attire and then said these words to him with the most sincere eyes: ‘Son, I want to tell you the most important thing. Remember I told you this: always, take care of your mother,’” Sheinelle wrote. She recalled her son’s response, “I will. Yes sir,” and noted that the encounter left her deeply moved.

Fans have been sending their prayers and well-wishes to Sheinelle, hoping everything is alright in her personal life and wishing for her quick return to the *Today* show. One follower commented, “Prayers are sent to you Sheinelle for whatever you are going through.” With her usual transparency and strong connection to her audience, Sheinelle’s absence has left a noticeable void for many *Today* viewers who miss her presence.

While fans continue to speculate, there has been no official word from *The Today Show* or Sheinelle regarding her absence. For now, her supporters are left hoping for answers and eagerly awaiting her return. With her strong bond with the audience and her long-standing role on the program, Sheinelle’s fans remain hopeful that they will soon see her back on the beloved morning show.

As the *Today Show* continues to celebrate milestones and bid farewells to key figures, viewers eagerly anticipate Sheinelle’s return and trust that her absence is temporary. In the meantime, her fans continue to rally behind her, showing their unwavering support.
