David Beckham shocked his followers when he unexpectedly posted a video of himself entirely nude on his personal account.

David Beckham has revealed the true extent of the injuries he sustained throughout his legendary football career,

offering a rare glimpse into the physical toll the sport has taken on his body. In a candid interview with Men’s Health UK,

the 49-year-old former footballer detailed the painful aftermath of his time on the pitch,

including a serious back injury and a lingering wrist issue that continues to affect him years after retirement.

Breaking His Back in LA

Beckham, who played for some of the world’s biggest football clubs—including Manchester United, Real Madrid, and LA Galaxy—reflected on one of his most serious injuries:

breaking his back while playing in Los Angeles. He recalled experiencing intense pain following a match but initially struggled to get a diagnosis.

“I actually broke my back,” he explained. “I was living in LA and cracked my spine. I had pain after a game, I went for a scan, and they couldn’t find anything wrong with it. I was insisting there was something not right there—I could feel it. So, they injected me with dye, and then it came up. It was a bad one.”

The injury, which was far worse than he initially realized, played a significant role in his eventual decision to retire from professional football in 2013. Despite stepping away from the game, the former England captain admits that the effects of the injury still linger today, serving as a constant reminder of the physically demanding nature of his career.

A Wrist Injury That Won’t Go Away

In addition to his back problems, Beckham also shared details about another lasting injury he suffered during his playing days. While in South Africa, he broke his wrist—a fracture that continues to trouble him years later.

“I broke my wrist in South Africa, and I still get issues with it,” he revealed. “I was told that it was a dissolvable screw. It turns out it wasn’t, so I’ve still got it.”

The ongoing discomfort from the injury serves as yet another example of how the sport has left its mark on Beckham’s body. Even after retiring from professional football, these old injuries continue to affect his day-to-day life.

Adjusting to Life After Football

Despite the wear and tear on his body, Beckham remains active and committed to staying in shape. Nowadays, he spends a lot of time working out alongside his wife, Victoria Beckham, in their home gym.

The couple, who have been married for 26 years, frequently share glimpses of their fitness routines on social media. Victoria, 49, often showcases her workout outfits and exercises, demonstrating her dedication to fitness. Last October, she shared a snap of herself striking a pose in the gym, dressed in grey leggings, a matching crop top, and white trainers. She also sported weightlifting gloves and wrist sweatbands to complete her workout look.

David was seen standing beside her, wearing grey shorts and a white t-shirt, perfectly coordinating with his wife’s gym attire. Victoria playfully captioned the post: “When your gym look inspires your husband,” suggesting that their matching outfits were no coincidence.

A Lasting Legacy

Though Beckham has long since retired from professional football, his legacy in the sport remains undeniable. The former midfielder, who also played for Paris Saint-Germain and AC Milan, was known for his precision on the field, particularly his free kicks. However, as he reflects on his career, it’s clear that the physical price he paid was significant.

With four children—Brooklyn, 25, Romeo, 22, Cruz, 20, and Harper, 13—David and Victoria continue to balance family life with their individual careers. While his days of competing on the football pitch may be over, Beckham’s dedication to fitness and well-being remains strong.

Despite the lasting impact of his injuries, Beckham embraces his post-football life, staying active and enjoying time with his family. His openness about the physical challenges he has faced offers an important reminder of the sacrifices elite athletes make for their sport.
