Blake Lively criticized Justin Baldoni, labeling him a coward after presenting proof that he compensated people in his circle: “Thankfully, they weren’t deceived by it.”

Blake Lively is stepping back into the world of psychological thrillers with Another Simple Favour, the highly anticipated sequel to the 2018 hit A Simple Favour.

The newly released teaser trailer has sparked intrigue, with Lively’s character, Emily Nelson,

referencing revenge in a cryptic exchange with Anna Kendrick’s Stephanie Smothers.

However, the timing of the trailer’s release has raised eyebrows, as it coincides with Lively’s ongoing legal dispute with her It Ends With Us co-star and director, Justin Baldoni.

A Long-Awaited Sequel with a Darker Twist

The original A Simple Favour captivated audiences with its gripping storyline, following Stephanie, a single mother and parenting vlogger, who becomes entangled in the glamorous yet enigmatic life of Emily, a high-powered PR executive who mysteriously vanishes.

In the sequel, Another Simple Favour, Emily makes a dramatic return, inviting Stephanie to the breathtaking island of Capri, Italy, for her extravagant wedding.

The trailer opens with Stephanie reading from her novel, The Faceless Blonde, a book seemingly inspired by her past experiences with Emily. “I think about her all the time, the faceless blonde I thought I knew. Was she a glamorous PR executive or a cold-blooded killer?” she narrates. As she speaks, Emily makes a striking entrance, setting the stage for their tense reunion.

Stephanie, visibly unsettled, questions Emily’s motives for the invitation, asking, “Why am I here?” Emily’s chilling response hints at an underlying vendetta: “You think I invited you because I want revenge, for stealing my life and taking my kid away from me? You think I want to make you pay?”

The teaser then intensifies with glimpses of lavish parties, dramatic explosions, and a body being wheeled away on a stretcher. The final scene flashes the ominous tagline: “Revenge is a dish best served chilled, with a twist.” With Another Simple Favour set to premiere on Prime Video on May 1, fans are eagerly anticipating the next chapter in this suspenseful saga.

Legal Turmoil Surrounding Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni

Beyond the buzz surrounding the film’s release, Lively is also making headlines for an ongoing legal dispute with Justin Baldoni. The actress, 37, is engaged in a heated battle with Baldoni, who not only co-starred alongside her in It Ends With Us but also directed the adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s bestselling novel.

Lively initially filed a lawsuit against Baldoni and other parties associated with the film, alleging misconduct on set. Last week, she submitted an amended complaint, claiming to have gathered “significant additional evidence and corroboration” to support her original allegations. She also stated that other women have come forward, sharing their own experiences of feeling uncomfortable around Baldoni.

Baldoni has vehemently denied all accusations and has taken legal action of his own. Last month, he countersued Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, seeking £321 million ($400 million) in damages. He claims that the couple’s allegations were an orchestrated attempt to tarnish his reputation and career. Reynolds, 48, has also denied any wrongdoing.

A Conspiracy Theory Linking It Ends With Us and Ryan Reynolds?

As the legal battle unfolds, fans have begun speculating about the deeper connections between Lively’s ongoing feud with Baldoni and her husband’s involvement. Some have theorized that Reynolds may have played a behind-the-scenes role in Lively’s claims, while others believe that the controversy surrounding It Ends With Us has contributed to the growing tension between Hollywood’s power players.

Although neither Lively nor Baldoni has publicly addressed the latest developments in their case, the timing of Another Simple Favour’s teaser release—centered around themes of betrayal and revenge—has led to widespread speculation. Whether the film’s storyline unintentionally reflects the actress’s personal struggles or is purely coincidental remains up for debate.

With the release of Another Simple Favour on the horizon and Lively’s legal case still unfolding, all eyes will be on both the screen and the courtroom as this drama continues to develop.
