Joy Behar exposes a list of The View co-hosts who mistreated her—and reveals that they paid a heavy price for it: “They paid a steep price.”

For nearly three decades, Joy Behar has been a staple on The View, engaging in lively discussions and debates with a rotating cast of co-hosts.

However, her tenure on the popular daytime talk show hasn’t always been smooth sailing.

Behar recently hinted that some of her former colleagues haven’t exactly been the easiest to work with—going as far as suggesting that a few have been outright “mean” to her.

The revelation came during a recent episode of The View when the panelists were discussing toxic friendships,

prompted by the upcoming season of The White Lotus, which features a group of complicated, backstabbing friends.

Behar chimed in with a lighthearted comment, admitting that she sometimes struggles to recognize toxic behavior because of her own positive upbringing.

“I’m an only child. I was treated well as a child. I think everybody likes me,” she explained. Behar contrasted her own experiences with those of a friend who had a difficult childhood and, as a result, could easily identify toxic behavior in others.

However, the conversation took a more intriguing turn when Behar jokingly added, “Tell them, I don’t remember who’s mean to me—even at this table!” Her remark prompted an immediate response from co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin, who has had her share of heated exchanges with Behar in the past. Griffin quickly shot back, “No one at this table’s been mean to you!”

Behar then clarified that she wasn’t referring to the current lineup of The View hosts but was instead speaking about past co-hosts from her long tenure on the show. “I’ve been here 28 years,” she reminded Griffin. “Not all of them have been nice.”

Behar’s History of On-Air Clashes

While Behar did not name names, longtime viewers of The View know that she has had her share of contentious moments with former co-hosts—especially those with differing political views. One of her most publicized feuds was with Meghan McCain, who often clashed with Behar over politics and social issues. Their frequent on-air disputes became a defining aspect of the show during McCain’s time at the table, with both women exchanging pointed remarks that sometimes turned personal.

Another notable conflict involved Elisabeth Hasselbeck, who co-hosted The View from 2003 to 2013. As a staunch conservative, Hasselbeck frequently sparred with Behar, leading to some of the most intense debates in the show’s history. Even after her departure, Hasselbeck has continued to criticize Behar publicly, recently calling her out for remarks she made about Carrie Underwood’s performance at former President Donald Trump’s inauguration.

A Show Built on Debate

Despite these tensions, The View has always been known for its lively discussions and passionate debates. The show thrives on the diverse perspectives brought to the table, which naturally leads to moments of friction. Behar herself has never shied away from controversy and often embraces her role as a sharp-tongued commentator unafraid to challenge her co-hosts.

Over the years, The View has seen many co-hosts come and go, with varying levels of camaraderie among the panelists. Some former hosts have remained close friends, while others have left amid reports of behind-the-scenes tension. Behar’s comments suggest that not all working relationships on the show have been harmonious, but she appears to take it in stride.

No Hard Feelings?

Behar’s remarks on The View were made with a touch of humor, implying that she doesn’t dwell on past conflicts. Even when faced with heated debates, she has remained a mainstay of the show, adapting to new lineups and continuing to engage audiences with her wit and candor.

While some former co-hosts may have been challenging to work with, Behar has maintained her position as one of The View’s most enduring and influential voices. Whether her latest comments will spark reactions from past co-hosts remains to be seen, but one thing is clear: after nearly 30 years at the table, Joy Behar has seen it all—and she isn’t afraid to speak her mind.
