SINGER Alexandra Burke showed off her sparkling diamond rock while running errands near her home in Hertfordshire over the weekend.
The 36-year-old got engaged to her partner, the footballer Darren Randolph, after he presented her with a diamond ring last month.
Middlesbrough goalkeeper Darren, 37 and former Strictly star Alexandra, 36, have been together for three years and have two children, one born in June 2022 and their second in September 2023.
Dressed down in gym wear while doing some grocery shopping, it was impossible to miss the large gem, glinting in the autumn sunshine.
The Hallelujah singer was said to be taken aback by the proposal, which took place at the five-star Rosewood Hotel in central London last month.
A source told The Sun: “Alexandra had no idea this was coming and was on cloud nine.
“Darren had gone all out to plan the most special moment for her and it was perfect.
“They couldn’t be happier to start moving towards the next stage of their life together.”
Alexandra and Darren have two children together.
They started dating in April 2021 and have been inseparable ever since.
Indeed Alexandra has a busy year ahead, as she prepares to make her on-screen debut as serious TV drama actress.
She stars in Paramount+ crime thriller Curfew with Sarah Parish.
The show is based on Jayne Cowie’s novel After Dark, which is set in a world where all men live under the “Women’s Safety Act” and are bound by a curfew.
Alexandra stars as a local teacher and close pal of Sarah’s police officer character.
She landed the role after making her film debut in Pretty Red Dress last year.
Alexandra won The X Factor back in 2008 but broke into acting and has appeared a number of times on the West End stage including in productions of Sister Act and The Bodyguard. In 2017 she competed on Strictly finishing in second place with her dance partner Gorka Marquez.
