Ben Shephard from This Morning was completely taken aback when a guest unexpectedly “c.u.r.s.e.d him out,” hurling vulgarities during a live broadcast—triggered by just one Polish phrase.

This Morning host Ben Shephard was forced to issue a quick apology to the show’s viewers after a series of mishaps involving budget travel expert Chelsea Dickenson,

who was live from Zakopane, Poland, to showcase a bargain ski trip.

The segment, meant to highlight an incredible £250 ski deal, took an unexpected turn when Chelsea suffered a painful fall, leaving both the audience and the presenters in shock.

Chelsea, a regular guest known for sharing affordable travel tips, was at the top of a snowy slope, ready to demonstrate her skiing skills.

However, before starting her descent, she lightheartedly mentioned her favourite Polish word for luck, which, to the surprise of the audience, is “fart.”

“My favourite thing is the Polish word for luck, which is fart, so you’ll have to wish me good fart here because I haven’t skied in a long time,”

Chelsea quipped, setting the tone for a light-hearted moment.

As the broadcast continued, Chelsea, feeling a bit nervous, asked the presenters: “You ready to do it guys?” to which This Morning co-host Cat Deeley responded with a surprised tone, expressing, “She’s actually going to do it.” Chelsea then began her descent down the frosty slope, but things took a swift turn as she quickly admitted, “I’m falling,” just moments before she tumbled down the hill. Viewers could hear a loud scream as Chelsea crashed into the snow, microphone still live and broadcasting her experience.

As she struggled to regain composure, Chelsea, now on the ground, was heard saying, “No, f**k,” repeatedly, as she lay in the snow feeling embarrassed. Her words, although likely an unintended slip, left the This Morning team scrambling to address the live blunder. An understandably flustered Ben Shephard covered his face with his hands, and Chelsea, still lying in the snow, could be heard saying, “Oh my goodness, I didn’t even make it down the slope. I’m already on the floor. Someone save me, back to the studio.”

Recognizing the slip, Ben quickly intervened to address the situation. With his usual calmness, he explained, “So we’re not one hundred percent sure whether she used the Polish for luck or the word that we have to apologise for,” hinting at Chelsea’s unintentional outburst. He added, “We will apologise just in case, but we think you were just trying to say luck.” His swift response was meant to smooth over the moment and reassure viewers that it was all in good humor.

Despite the awkward moment, Cat Deeley, maintaining her lighthearted approach, tried to lighten the mood by joking, “Can someone call in Brad Pitt to pick her up, please, just scoop her up.” The playful remark was met with laughter, easing the tension that had built up in the studio.

Chelsea, still visibly flustered, remained on the ground for some time before finally getting back to her feet. It was clear that she was embarrassed, but her resilience shone through as she managed to recover from the fall and finish her segment. The mishap didn’t take away from her charm, as viewers were quick to appreciate her sense of humor and willingness to laugh at herself.

This live blunder on This Morning became a memorable moment for fans of the show, with many taking to social media to share their reactions. The slip-up, however, was quickly forgiven by most viewers, as they recognized that Chelsea had simply been trying to share an amusing moment. As is often the case with live television, things don’t always go as planned, but it’s how the presenters handle the situation that makes all the difference.

Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley’s professionalism, combined with their ability to inject humor into the situation, helped smooth over the awkward moment and ensure that the segment remained lighthearted and entertaining. As for Chelsea, she certainly provided a memorable moment for the This Morning audience, proving that even the best-laid plans can sometimes take a tumble—literally!
