Brenda Edwards from Loose Women raises alarms about her mental health after sharing that she has been VISITING with her late son daily.

Brenda Edwards has opened up about the profound impact her son Jamal’s passing had on her life, revealing the emotional challenges she faced in the aftermath.

During a heartfelt discussion on Loose Women, the TV star shared how grief influenced her decision to move house,

as well as how she and her daughter, Tanisha, have coped with their loss.

Brenda Opens Up About Relocating After Tragedy

During Wednesday’s (February 26) episode of Loose Women, Brenda sat alongside co-hosts Christine Lampard, Jane Moore, and Coleen Nolan

as they explored the emotional connections people have with their homes.

The panel discussed how moving can symbolize new beginnings or reflect significant life changes.

Brenda revealed that she had moved 13 times throughout her life, with nine of those moves happening after she turned 18. She shared how moving had been a part of her journey since childhood, first following the loss of her parents and later after separating from her ex-husband. However, the most emotional move came after the devastating loss of her son, Jamal, in February 2022.

Why Brenda Felt She Had to Leave Her Home

Brenda described how, after Jamal’s passing, the home they had shared suddenly felt overwhelmingly dark, even though it had once been a place full of light and warmth. She admitted:

“I made the decision to move from the house we had after Jamal passed. It was a bright house, and we all lived there together. But, when he was gone, the walls just seemed really dark. I can’t explain it, but it was just really gloomy.”

She also opened up about how the move was not just for her own well-being but for her daughter, Tanisha, as well. Brenda shared that while she had been trying to cope with her grief, she hadn’t realized just how deeply Tanisha was affected by their surroundings.

“Tanisha was seeing Jamal at every corner. I think that created a darkness, and it made it hard to move forward,” she explained.

Remembering Jamal’s Legacy

Jamal Edwards, a pioneering entrepreneur and music industry figure, passed away at the age of 31 due to cardiac arrhythmia. His death sent shockwaves through the entertainment world, with many paying tribute to his incredible achievements.

Brenda confirmed the heartbreaking news in February 2022, releasing a statement that reflected the depth of her grief.

“It is with the deepest heartache that I confirm that my beautiful son, Jamal Edwards, passed away yesterday morning after a sudden illness. Myself, his sister Tanisha, and the rest of his family and friends are completely devastated. He was the center of our world.”

She expressed gratitude for the love and support she received during such a difficult time, adding:

“As we come to terms with his passing, we ask for privacy to grieve this unimaginable loss. I would like to thank everyone for their messages of love and support. Jamal was an inspiration to me and so many others. Our love for him lives on, his legacy lives on. Long live Jamal Edwards MBE, MBA, PhD.”

Coping with Grief and Moving Forward

Brenda’s emotional honesty on Loose Women resonated with many viewers, as she shared the difficult realities of grief and the impact it can have on everyday life. While moving home was a significant step in her healing journey, it was also a way to help her daughter find peace.

Despite the overwhelming loss, Brenda continues to honor Jamal’s memory, keeping his legacy alive through her work and the love she shares with those closest to her. Her strength and openness have made her an inspiration to many who have faced similar grief, proving that while loss changes everything, love endures.
