Josie Gibson from This Morning shocked everyone in the studio by sharing a photo of her oozing injury from a recent ski trip with her family.

A lighthearted moment on This Morning took an unexpected turn when fans expressed concern over the safety of presenters Alison Hammond and Josie Gibson.

What started as a fun gesture quickly became a talking point online, with some viewers worried about the potential risks involved.

Josie Gibson Receives a Mobility Scooter from Alison Hammond

During the morning show, Josie Gibson, 40, was presented with a mobility scooter by co-host Alison Hammond.

The thoughtful gift came after Josie revealed she had injured her foot while on holiday in Dubai.

Forced to rely on crutches, the former Big Brother star had been struggling to move around the studio.

In a lighthearted moment, Josie took full advantage of her new ride, zipping around the set in between presenting segments. However, things escalated after a commercial break when Josie entered the studio with Alison perched on her lap, laughing as they cruised in together.

Fans Divided Over the Playful Stunt

While the moment was meant as a joke, some This Morning viewers felt uneasy about the stunt. Concerns about safety were quickly voiced on social media, with one fan writing on X (formerly Twitter), “Not satisfied with one accident!?” Another viewer added, “This could all go very wrong.”

However, not everyone saw it as a cause for concern. Many viewers found the incident hilarious, with one posting, “What am I seeing? Alison and Josie on the mobility scooter!” alongside laughing emojis. Another added, “Love it when Alison and Josie are presenting. My favourites,” sharing an image of the duo on the scooter, which had been decorated with gold fringing for Josie.

Josie Gibson’s Dubai Injury Explained

Josie’s injury, which led to her needing the mobility scooter in the first place, occurred while she was vacationing in Dubai with her six-year-old son, Reggie. She revealed that a bathroom cabinet in her hotel room unexpectedly fell from the wall and landed on her foot.

“It was the second day of the holiday, I have always wanted to take my little one to Dubai. I was brushing my teeth when the vanity unit came down on my foot,” Josie explained on This Morning. Alison, shocked by the revelation, gasped as Josie detailed the painful accident. She even shared a photo of the shattered cabinet, explaining that it cracked upon impact with her foot.

Initially diagnosed with a fractured foot by doctors in Dubai, Josie later saw a British doctor upon her return home. According to the new assessment, she had suffered soft tissue damage rather than a full fracture.

Social Media Post Hints at Hospital Visit

Earlier this week, Josie had sparked concern among fans when she posted a cryptic update on social media, hinting at a trip to the hospital. The post featured a photo of hospital signs pointing to the Fracture & Orthopaedic Clinics and a Trauma Assessment Unit, leading many to speculate about her health. She captioned the image, “You couldn’t even make it up,” while playing Cry Cry by Mazzy Star in the background.

Given the recent developments, it is likely that Josie’s visit was related to further treatment for her foot injury.

Josie’s Glamorous Dubai Getaway

Despite the unfortunate accident, Josie made the most of her time in Dubai. She had traveled to the luxurious destination as part of her new travel series, The First Class Travel Show. During her stay, she checked into the stunning Anantara at the Palm, a resort featuring private infinity pools and breathtaking ocean views.

Reflecting on her trip, Josie revealed that she hopes to return to Dubai with her son, saying, “I think he would quite like Dubai because it’s geared up for kids.” She was especially impressed with the resort, adding, “I was in a villa on the water with a glass floor, so you can look down at the sea while you’re having your breakfast.”

The Aftermath of the On-Air Scooter Stunt

While Josie’s mobility scooter stunt with Alison was meant to be playful, it has certainly sparked debate among fans. Some found it entertaining, while others were genuinely concerned that another accident could occur.

As for Josie, she seems to be taking everything in stride. With her injury still healing, the mobility scooter might remain a staple on This Morning for a little while longer. Whether or not another scooter ride with Alison is in the cards, however, remains to be seen!
