Katie Price has shocked social media users after unexpectedly releasing a trailer for her forthcoming biopic featuring Louis Theroux, with many reacting by calling it “nothing but absolute trash…”

Reality TV star and former glamour model Katie Price is reportedly in discussions about a potential new BBC documentary, with none other than Louis Theroux’s production company.

The 46-year-old media personality is said to be eager to collaborate with Theroux, believing he is the ideal filmmaker to bring her complex life story to the screen.

Katie’s Interest in a Documentary Collaboration

Katie, who has had an extensive career in reality television, is no stranger to the cameras. She previously appeared on The Louis Theroux Podcast last October,

where she candidly spoke about her experiences with love, fame, and cosmetic surgery.

According to sources, her appearance on the podcast left a lasting impression on Theroux, who reportedly finds her a fascinating subject.

A source shared, “Katie has been in talks with Louis’ production company about creating a BBC documentary about her life. He believes the public hasn’t seen the full picture of who she really is, and she is excited about the prospect of working with him.” While no official agreement has been confirmed, Katie has reportedly told friends she is keen for the project to move forward.

A History of Television Success

Katie has a well-documented history in television, beginning with her 2002 documentary Jordan: The Truth About Me, which offered a glimpse into her life as a model and public figure. She later starred in several reality TV series, most notably the Katie & Peter franchise during her high-profile marriage to Peter Andre. Over the years, her reality TV career has included numerous projects covering everything from her personal relationships to her business ventures.

One of her most personal projects was the BBC documentary Katie Price: Harvey and Me, which provided insight into her life as a mother to her disabled son, Harvey. The series was well received, leading to a follow-up installment, Katie Price: What Harvey Did Next. Last year, she confirmed that discussions were underway for a potential third installment focused on her journey with Harvey, now 22.

Past and Recent TV Ventures

Katie has also explored different areas of reality television, including Mucky Mansion, a Channel 4 series that documented her efforts to renovate her once-grand property. However, due to financial struggles and two bankruptcies, she ultimately lost ownership of the home, bringing an end to the series.

More recently, she starred in the Channel 4 documentary Katie Price: Making Babies, which followed her emotional IVF journey during her engagement to ex-fiancé Carl Woods. The series captured intimate and heart-wrenching moments, including the realization that the IVF treatment was unsuccessful and the subsequent breakdown of her relationship.

Dropping Hints About Future Projects

Katie has remained tight-lipped about the specifics of her potential documentary with Louis Theroux, but she did hint at upcoming projects while attending The Gossies 2025 in Dublin, Ireland. When asked if she had received offers for new reality shows, she confidently stated, “The thing is, I always say, I don’t need to do other people’s reality shows because I have my own. So watch this space for this year.”

Louis Theroux is known for his in-depth and thought-provoking documentaries, recently producing Boybands Forever, a BBC2 feature that explored the rise and struggles of legendary ’90s boybands such as Take That, Westlife, 911, and East 17. Given his track record for capturing compelling narratives, a collaboration between Theroux and Katie could provide an intriguing and unfiltered look into her life beyond the tabloid headlines.

What’s Next for Katie Price?

With her extensive background in reality television, Katie has proven time and time again that she knows how to keep audiences engaged. Whether it’s her personal challenges, family life, or business endeavors, she has built a career on sharing her journey with the public. If the documentary with Louis Theroux’s production company comes to fruition, it could offer a raw and insightful portrayal of her life like never before.

For now, fans will have to wait and see whether this highly anticipated project moves forward. With Katie’s ongoing determination to remain in the spotlight, there’s no doubt that she has plenty of stories left to tell.
